ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ has agreements with many area community colleges that help ensure proper transfer of courses.

Minimum Transfer Admission Requirements:

  • 24 or more semester credit hours of college coursework.
  • 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA.
  • Provide official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities.

Please note, that some programs have their own application deadlines and require higher GPAs and/or additional materials for admission. If you have earned less than 24 hours you must apply as a freshman.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ is a participant in the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI), which allows students to follow a general education core curriculum (GECC) that transfers smoothly from over 100 participating schools into all of the undergraduate programs at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ. If you would like an unofficial degree audit, you can go to Jaguar Transcript Evaluator at  This will also allow you to compare your credits towards the completion of several programs at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ.   This site has course equates from both community colleges and baccalaureate colleges and universities.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ is also a participant in My Credits Transfer/Transferology.  This will allow you to view individual course equates and does include transfer course work from other universities.   You can view this information at ;

For baccalaureate credits, ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ is governed by Policy 31 - Transfer Credit for Undergraduate Students and is evaluated at the time of admission.  For graduate credit, ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ accepts master's level credits from other regionally accredited colleges and universities is governed by Policy 30 - Transfer Credit for Graduate Students and on a case-by-case basis, please see the program advisor for additional information.  A list of program advisors can be found at www.govst.edu/advising
