  1. Dean's List

    An undergraduate student who meets the following criteria will be placed on the Dean鈥檚 List at the end of each semester or summer session: 

    1. Admission in a degree program; 
    2. Completion of at least six credit hours of graded course work in the semester or summer session without any grades of incomplete (鈥淚鈥) for the semester or summer session; 
    3. Status of academic good standing; and 
    4. Grade point average for all graded course work attempted in the semester or summer session of 3.70 or higher.
  2. Graduation with Latin Honors

    Upon completion of baccalaureate degree requirements, a student will be awarded 鈥淐um Laude (with honors)鈥 鈥淢agna Cum Laude (with high honors),鈥 or 鈥淪umma Cum Laude (with highest honors)鈥 if they: 

    1. Have completed at least 45 graded credit hours in 蜜桃视频 coursework, and 
    2. Have a cumulative 蜜桃视频 grade point average of greater than or equal to 3.65 but less than 3.84 (Cum Laude), or has a cumulative 蜜桃视频 grade point average of greater than or equal to 3.84 but less than 3.94 (Magna Cum Laude), or has a cumulative 蜜桃视频 grade point average of greater than or equal to 3.94 (Summa Cum Laude). 

    The achievement of Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude or Summa Cum Laude will be designated on the student鈥檚 transcript and diploma. 

    * This policy is in effect for fall 2017 graduates who meet the current policy criteria. Students that were enrolled prior to Summer 2018 who do not meet the current policy criteria for Latin Honors, but do qualify for Latin Honors under the previous policy, will also be eligible for Latin honors under the previous policy.

    Changes to 鈥淕raduation with Latin Honors鈥 approved by Institutional Policy Committee 12-14-2017 and approved by the Faculty Senate 1-18-18. 

    * As this policy change indicates, students enrolled prior to summer 2018, that do not meet revised Policy 21 criteria, but who did meet previous version of Policy 21, will be awarded Latin Honors upon graduation under the previous criteria. 

    Those previous criteria were: 

    Upon completion of baccalaureate degree requirements, a student will be awarded 鈥淐um Laude (with honors)鈥 鈥淢agna Cum Laude (with high honors),鈥 or 鈥淪umma Cum Laude (with highest honors)鈥 if she/he: 

    1. Has completed at least 24 graded credit hours in 蜜桃视频 coursework, and 
    2. Has a cumulative 蜜桃视频 grade point average of 3.80-3.89 (Cum Laude), or has a cumulative 蜜桃视频 grade point average of 3.90-3.97 (Magna Cum Laude), or has a cumulative GSU grade point average of 3.98-4.00 (Summa Cum Laude). The achievement of Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude or Summa Cum Laude will be designated on the student鈥檚 transcript and diploma.
